Northern Waters Distillery, located in Minocqua, Wisconsin, is a small, family-oriented distillery that combines traditional craftsmanship with creative experimentation. Established by Peter Nomm in 2013, with the first shop opening in 2014. Initially, it offered moonshines while aging whiskeys and bourbons. In 2023, the distillery was sold to the Johnson-Donahue family, who continue to emphasize quality, experimentation, and customer-centric practices. Located on the shores of Clawson Lake, the distillery features a modern building with a Northwoods aesthetic, incorporating wood accents and sheet metal.
