In January 2024, Bergslagen's Distillery officially changed its name to Lihnell's Distillery AB.

Lihnell's Distillery is a company based in Sweden in a town called Örebro approximately 2 hours from Stockholm. The name of the region is ”Bergslagen”, hence the former name of the company.

The Bergslagen region was once the heart of the mining industry and iron production in Sweden, Bergslagen has transformed into a gourmet and meal region recognised for top-end restaurants and innovative local food producers.

Lihnell's Distillery is a small family-owned distillery that is surrounded by green fields, near the beautiful lake Hjälmaren, 6km from central Örebro. Our inspiration comes from the Bergslagen region, its creativity and entrepreneurship with roots since the 1100's when men first came to the area seeking treasures in the mountain. We produce first and foremost Gin, Whisky and Aquavit. We use as many spices and ingredients from the region as we can. Everything we produce is small scale and made with passion and love for the craft.

The distillery is planning on moving from the old slaughterhouse area in Hjälmarvägen, Ormesta to Hjälmarsberg Säteri during the summer of 2024.
