The Karuizawa Distillery was established in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama – an active volcano. The area is a popular mountain resort and the distillery is the highest in Japan at 850m above sea level. Everything from Karuizawa is really good.
This particular rare bottle from Karuizawa was distilled in 1960 and matured in cask no 5627 for 52 years before being bottled in 2013. This is a very rare and old beautiful bottle with limited number released.
